real life experience of acupuncture patients---acupuncture has a just as good, if not better, track record of
success than most conventional approaches to smoking cessation like the patches and gums. It has a great track

Most acupuncture sessions for smoking cessation are based on ear needling protocols as designed by the National
Acupuncture Detoxification Association. About 5 needles are placed on the surface of the structure of the outer ears. Thesestay in for about 30 minutes, and are then removed. Sometimes, these needles are followed up with an application of stainlesssteel ear seeds on a clear sticky tape that the patient can go home with and press on as cravings arise.
