Mark Twain should have had acupuncture. He may have been a bit more successful with his efforts to quit smoking, and
changed his tune about having to try to quit a “thousand times”. According to some research---and the many testimonials of
the real life experience of acupuncture patients---acupuncture has a just as good, if not better, track record of success than
most conventional approaches to smoking cessation like the patches and gums.
Most acupuncture sessions for smoking cessation are based on ear needling protocols as designed by the National
Acupuncture Detoxification Association. About 5 needles are placed on the surface of the structure of the outer ears. These
stay in for about 30 minutes, and are then removed. Sometimes, these needles are followed up with an application of stainless
steel ear seeds on a clear sticky tape that the patient can go home with and press on as cravings arise.
Wellness Evolution also has its truly one-of-a-kind Signature Series Holistic Smoking Cessation Program. As needed, we have
our patients meet with selected healthcare professionals, including holistic medical doctors, naturopaths, acupuncturists,
dietitians, aestheticians, massage therapists, exercise professionals, and/or a health psychologist in order to address every
facet of that patient’s life revolving around smoking and stopping smoking. Our personalized approach allows each individual
to access In this way those services that resonate with their particular issues surrounding their reasons for smoking, any
particular difficulties they are having with quitting, and regaining health and beauty that were lost from the ravages of their
smoking habit.
For example, some patients utilize a customized nutritional supplement regimen along with acupuncture. Others may wish
to renew their skin due to skin damage on the face from smoking. Others may want a strategy for not gaining weight during
and after quitting.
Let Wellness Evolution prove Mark Twain wrong and guide you along the path to a singular attempt
at quitting smoking.
